Terms of service

Last updated October 5, 2026

These terms are a starting template. Have them reviewed by a Nigerian legal practitioner before launch.

1. The service

AuthenticStaff lets companies keep employment records, file incident reports, verify candidates and partners, and lets employees view and dispute what is recorded about them.

2. Company obligations

  • Only file reports that are truthful, relevant and supported by evidence you can produce if the report is disputed.
  • Only run verification searches where you have a lawful basis, such as the candidate's consent.
  • Keep your account credentials secure and the information you provide accurate.

Malicious or false reports may lead to removal of the report, suspension of your account and liability to the affected person.

3. Disputes

Employees may dispute any report about them. The reporting company is given a fixed window to respond with evidence. If it does not respond, the employee may have the report removed. Otherwise an administrator decides based on both sides. Administrator decisions are final on the platform but do not limit any legal remedy.

4. Fees

Current fees are shown before every payment. Subscriptions renew monthly and may be charged automatically to a saved card. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where a payment was taken in error.

5. Liability

Records are provided by companies, not by us. We do not guarantee their accuracy and are not liable for hiring decisions made using the platform. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law.

6. Contact
