Getting started

Ask a question →

AuthenticStaff is a shared record of verified employment history and workplace conduct. Registered employers add their staff, record incidents backed by evidence, and check a candidate's record before hiring. Employees can see everything written about them and dispute anything they believe is wrong.

Click Get started, enter your company details and verify your email with the one-time code we send. You then pay the one-time registration fee of ₦5,000.00 to activate the account.

Employees cannot sign up on their own. Their employer sends an onboarding link by email; the link is valid for 72 hours. Opening it lets the employee create an account and confirm the employment. If a link has expired, ask your employer to send a new one.

Yes. New companies get a 14-day subscription trial, plus 3 free verification searches every calendar month.

Companies & billing

From your company portal, search for a candidate using their details. Each company gets 3 free searches per month; after that each search costs ₦1,000.00. Results show verified employment history and any published incident reports.

Each incident report costs ₦2,000.00. The report is only published after payment and after our moderators confirm it meets our standards. Attach evidence — reports with clear evidence are handled faster.

We accept cards, bank transfer and USSD through Paystack, and international cards through Stripe. Payments are confirmed with the gateway before anything is unlocked, so you are never charged for a service you did not receive.

Most payments confirm within a few seconds. If your card was charged but the feature is still locked after 15 minutes, contact billing support with the payment reference from your bank alert or email receipt. We never charge twice for the same transaction.

Yes. Subscription pricing is per staff member, with lower rates for larger teams. For more than 200 staff, talk to sales for a custom quote.

Employees & disputes

Yes. Every incident report filed about you appears in your employee portal under Incident reports, together with the evidence submitted. You are notified by email whenever a new report is filed.

Open the report in your portal and choose Dispute. Explain what is wrong and upload any supporting evidence. Filing a dispute is charged at ₦1,500.00. You will receive a case number (DSP-…) to track it.

The employer has 7 days to respond. If they do not respond in time, you may clear the record. If they respond, an independent AuthenticStaff arbitrator reviews both sides and the evidence and makes a decision. You are kept updated at every stage.

When a dispute is decided in your favour you can clear the report from your record by paying the clearance fee of ₦3,000.00. Once cleared, the report no longer appears in verification searches.

Employers can only report on staff they have verified on the platform, and every report must be backed by evidence and passes moderation. If you believe a report is unfair or retaliatory, dispute it and explain why.

Account & security

Ask a question →

Codes are sent to your registered email and expire after 10 minutes. Check your spam or promotions folder, then use Resend code. If it still does not arrive, contact us from the same email address.

Use Forgot password on the sign-in page. We'll email you a secure link to set a new one.

Sign in and open Profile from the account menu. Changing your email requires you to verify the new address.

Never. Our staff will not ask for your password, one-time code or full card number by phone, email, SMS or WhatsApp. If someone does, do not share it and report it to us.

Privacy & data

Ask a question →

Only registered, verified companies can run searches, and every search is logged. Your NIN is stored as a one-way hash — it is used for matching and never shown to anyone. Employees can control some visibility from Privacy settings in their portal.

Evidence files are kept in private, encrypted storage and are only available to the parties to a report or dispute and to our arbitrators. They are never publicly accessible.

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Send a privacy request from the email on your account and we will respond within the statutory timeframe. Some records may be retained where the law requires it.
